If you haven’t been to Edgewater Golf Club in South Carolina recently, you’re in for a surprise. With ongoing construction and development of the community surrounding the course, a brand-new clubhouse, and continuous improvements to the course itself, Edgewater is quickly becoming one of our top destinations for golfers in the greater Charlotte area.
Located just a decent (1 hour+) drive from the city, Edgewater has always been known for its serene setting and beautiful layout, but now it’s making waves with a range of exciting upgrades. The new clubhouse will be closer to the first tee and driving range, will offer modern amenities and a comfortable atmosphere, perfect for gathering with fellow golfers after a round. From the looks of the buildout, the clubhouse will include a huge practice putting green and TopTracer hitting bays. Whether you’re stopping by the pro shop or grabbing a bite to eat, the clubhouse is a welcoming addition that enhances the overall experience.
The course itself has seen significant improvements in maintenance, with pristine fairways and smooth greens that are sure to impress both casual players and seasoned golfers. The new Starter shack and out houses provide a modern upgrade to the course. The largest improvement that we saw was the removal of a significant amount of trees. Prior to the upgrade, the course felt like you are playing golf throughout a wooded forest. Now, the course feels different as you navigate the bending fairways and undulating greens. Edgewater’s natural beauty is on full display, with the rolling landscape and waterfront views offering a peaceful backdrop as you navigate the challenging layout.
As the surrounding community continues to grow, Edgewater is positioning itself as one of the premier courses in the region. Whether you’re a local or visiting from out of town, now is the time to rediscover what makes this course special. With its impressive upgrades and commitment to quality, Edgewater Golf Club is not only maintaining its reputation—it’s raising the bar.
So, have you played Edgewater lately? If not, it’s time to book your next round and see firsthand why this course is quickly becoming a standout in the Charlotte golf scene. We’re excited about the changes and can’t wait to see what’s next for this hidden gem.
